Spotlight on... Shimelle Laine
The adorable Shimelle lives and breathes creativity. She teaches and blogs at her website shimelle.com, one of the first online education websites for scrapbookers, and she picked up a new gig this year, serving as an editor for the brand new ScrapBook Inspirations Ideas Book series! She's also a design-team member for JBS Mercantile, Banana Frog, and twopeasinabucket.com (where she's a "Garden Girl"). And if that weren't enough, she also creates digital-scrapbooking products and teaches in-person scrapbooking classes in England, Germany, and elsewhere.

But don't take it from us, take it from those who know Shimelle best:

"I admire Shimelle's unique ability to see the good in everyone; her truly good nature and patience makes her the perfect scrapping teacher, who always has time for her students. I have learned from Shimelle and her class philosophies to appreciate the little things, to remember daily events that make me smile, to view days differently, and to see what I can learn from events that normally I would pass off as insignificant. Her classes are always varied, motivating and above all useful! You always end up with a project that you go back to time and time again."
~SJ Dowsett from Bexhill, England

"Shimelle is a fabu scrapbooker, a wonderful teacher, a completely creative genius, a generous friend, a copious cupcake cook, and an all around great gal! I love how easily she mixes papers and embellishments from all sorts of different lines and companies, making it look fabulous. One of the first times I saw a "banner" on a page was from Shimelle. She influenced that craze in my pages. And of course the journaling...she is all about the story. She challenged me to really think about what story I wanted to tell my family through my layouts. In a nutshell, she brings sunshine and cupcakes to everyone around her, and what's not to love about a girl like that!?"
~Joy Madison from Seattle, Washington

"Shimelle helped me to realise that scrapbooking isn't just for people with children, and that us young, child-free girls have plently that is worthy of documenting.  She inspired me to scrap about the everyday and document my life now, the highs, the lows and the fun journey that we are all on. I admire her ability to journal.  She has such a skill at recording events, encapuslating memories in words and creating pages that are not only a joy to look at but also tell wonderful stories that may have otherwise been forgotten."
~Laura Buckingham from London, England

Spotlight on... Stacy Julian
Stacy is unbelievably generous with her time, talents, and advice. She reaches out to partner with other companies (small or large, new or established), and does everything in her power to sustain and to grow the scrapbooking industry. You can find her running Big Picture Scrapbooking, a robust online scrapbooking-education website; blogging and podcasting at stacyjulian.com; teaching in-person classes around the world; partnering with with Core’dinations to create an upcoming line of “happy colors” embossed cardstock; creating “Finish-Line Scrapbooking Kits” to enable faster, freer scrapbooking for her followers; and authoring three eBooks for Ella Publishing Co., including 20 Simple Secrets of Happy Scrapbookers, UR2 Cre8ive, and Make a Smiles Mini-Book. It makes us tired just thinking about it!

Here's what a few top fans have to say about Stacy:

"Stacy completely changed the way I approach scrapbooking. I used to look at scrapbook magazines and think I would never have the time, money, or creativity to scrapbook—it was totally overwhelming. I love the way she encourages you to break it down into small bits, and focus on the most important things, that some is truly better than none. It helped me to change my perspective from thinking scrapbooking was a totally insurmountable goal, and helping me to set my priorities so that fit scrapbooking into my life. She helped me to see that it didn't have to be all or nothing, that little bits will say a lot in years to come. I also love that she is constantly learning, and sharing. The way that she shares this makes me feel like I don't have to have all of the answers, I need to just start and figure it out from there."
~Maureen Sargent from Dedham, Massachusetts

"I have two lessons that to me are equally important that I've learned from Stacy. One is that you must embrace and work with your scrapbooking process on a regular basis. This was after the lightbulb went on that I needed a process such as Library of Memories. It makes life so much easier. The second is that I am free to be me. Scrapbook styles, trends, embellishments change. Do not get intimidated by artistic scrapbookers; that's their style. Your style is constantly evolving. It's sharing your story that matters. Stacy inspires me almost weekly, not just with scrapbooking, but in how to approach life. Now I see and capture the moments, not just the events. The everyday and little things matter as much as the big things. Now I am the family story teller and not 'just' a scrapbooker anymore."
~Heather Wartenburg from Kyle, Texas
