Spotlight on... Renee Pearson
A successful author and digital-scrapbooking pioneer for years, Renee now makes her home at her online digital-training website, reneepearson.com. She teaches digital-scrapbooking and photo-editing classes through her site and brings in talented guest instructors as well. She reaches out to work with other industry fixtures, such as scrapblog.com and the Pen Scrappers team at wacom.com. Recent innovations include launching ReneeTV interactive video and online chat sessions (no small feat, technically speaking!) and authoring an instructional eBook, Special Effects for Digital Photos, for Ella Publishing Co.

But don't take it from us, take it from Renee's fans:

"I first discovered Renee with her books. They were so well written that when her first class was offered on bigpicturescrapbooking.com about designing with Photoshop Elements, I took it. I was impressed by Renee's ability to teach as well as her deep knowledge, and so I took her following class on Brushes. With these classes Renee taught me to relax and enjoy the many wonderful things that I could do by scrapping digitally. I admire Renee, for her spirit, talent, and teaching ability, and even more than those for her lively character, readiness to share and her warmth."
~Ami Pilon from Bellevue, Washington

"I started to search online about Photoshop classes and digital scrapbooking, and I found ReneePearson.com. I tried a class to see how her style was. Renee helped me get more inspired and ready to try more artsy and advanced techniques with my digital scrapbooking. Her collage class got me very inspired and full of ideas. She goes straight to the point and really teaches what we want to know, and she breaks up all the steps that you need to learn. She is really a very gifted teacher, and she selects great teachers for her website, too."

Spotlight on... Margie Romney-Aslett
Just call her the unsinkable Margie Romney! A key player at Making Memories for many years, Margie was downsized in early 2009. But that did nothing to quell this creative force! She jumped right into the creation of The Girls’ Loft, the monthly kit club she runs with her two daughters, and The Girls’ Paperie product lines followed soon after. She also teamed up with Elizabeth Kartchner and Rhonna Farrer to run the Spark event, now in its second year. On top of all that, Margie travels the world several times a month to teach in-person classes, she authored a holiday-projects eBook with her daughters, and she keeps a popular blog at margieromney-aslett.typepad.com

Here's what a couple of her favorite associates have to say:

"Margie has inspired me most of all through her amazing products! She has created some of my most favorite scrapbook papers and supplies—many before I even knew her. She truly knows how to make vintage useful and accessible in my modern world. She brings her own unique style to everything she does, and she does so with a smile. I love that she embraces her uniquely feminine brand of creativity and runs with it. And that she’s the first one to glitter, glam, and shabby-chic enhance a project and make something ordinary into something special. From her kit club to Spark to her line of products—I know that whatever she’s doing she is doing it with her whole heart."
~May Flaum from Sacramento, California

"I first met Margie at a CKU (Creating Keepsakes University) 6 or 7 years ago, when I was a student and she was an instructor. Over the last few years, Margie and I have had the opportunity to hang out and get to know each other,  and I can honestly say that I'm proud to call this wonderful, outstanding woman my friend. She's been in the industry for what seems like FOREVER; her design sense and knack for identifying trends and turning them into products is second to none. Since Margie and I (along with many of you other scrapbookers out there!) share the same passion for vintage and flea market finds, it's been so fun to watch her take that passion for things old and funky and transition those ideas into scrapbooking products. But one thing I especially admire is her belief that it's never too late in life to start over."
~Layle Koncar from Sandy, Utah
